Let There Be Light for August 4 Show at Bistro Bohem

Maybe you saw my frantic emails and Facebook posts the afternoon of July 7: a neighborhood power outage shut down Bistro Bohem that day and scuttled our show for the night. (Sorry to those of you who didn’t see my messages that afternoon and went to hear us, only to see the place empty.) We’re hoping to keep more than the lights on when we return to the restaurant (actually, to its Kafe) on Sunday, August 4, from 8 to 10 p.m.

When I say “we” I mean the same great talents who were scheduled to support my vocals on July 7: Scott Giambusso (bass), Nick Lipkowski (guitar) and Robert Vetter (trumpet and keyboard). As usual, we’ll be playing Great American Songbook standards and a few other surprises.

As for Bistro Bohem, it features Central European food (primarily Czech) and great beers from the region. They serve dishes such as Chicken Schnitzel;Knedlo, Vepro, Zelo; Čerstvé bramborové lupínky; Pierogi; Evropský Sýrový talíř; Domaci Pastika; Smazak; Beef Goulash; Walnut Parsley Pesto Fettuccine (maybe not Central European, but…); Wild Mushroom Risotto; Seasoned with herbs de Provence; and Bavarian Bratwurst. Click here to see the full menu.

The restaurant is at 600 Florida Ave NW, Washington, D.C. Phone: 202.735.5895.

No cover charge.

Please join us for what should be a fun and light-filled night. And bring friends.

Jeff
