I’m thrilled to be able — finally — to get a gig in during this season of COVID-19. I’ll be performing in a Mr. Henry’s COVID Concert on Saturday, June 13, 6 to 7 p.m. (Eastern U.S. time) via the restaurant’s Facebook Live feed. Click here to view it live or at any other time, as it will be recorded and archived on the Mr. Henry’s Facebook page.
And help out Mr. Henry’s, which has been hit hard by the shutdown, as most restaurants have. If you live near their Capitol Hill location, they’re open for takeout and delivery Monday through Friday from 4 p.m. to 8p.m., Saturday and Sunday, noon – 8pm. Go to mrhenrys.com or call 202-546-8412.
This will be a new and interesting experience for all of us, and I’ll be sharing a range of musical styles, from jazz to blues to folk. It will also be an opportunity for those of you outside the D.C. area to check out my act.
I hope you can make it.
Jeff
I hope you and yours can join me and mine when we appear next at Mr. Henry’s, 601 Pennsylvania Ave SE, Washington, D.C., on Saturday, March 7.
I’ll once again perform with two fabulous musicians: Chris Grasso on piano, and Zack Pride on bass for an evening of jazz, blues and more. For a hint of what you’ll hear, click here to listen to my recordings and here to watch my videos.
There is a modest $15 food and beverage minimum per person for the evening (a bargain!). Doors open at 6 p.m. for guests interested in the jazz dinner menu (prepared by Chef Thomas Bach). It’s a good idea to make reservations to get a preferred table. Click here or here.
I hope to see you on March 7.
Jeff
I’m sorry to say that I have to cancel my scheduled appearance at Mr. Henry’s on January 4 because of some orthopedic surgery I’m having shortly before.
But all is not lost. Alison Crockett, one of the most exciting and dynamic singers around, will be taking on the gig. She’ll perform with two longtime collaborators: Chris Grasso on piano, and Zack Pride on bass. Do yourself a favor and check them out.
I’ll be back there on March 7.
Thanks,
Jeff

Up next: I’ll be singing at Epicure Cafe, 11104 Lee Highway, Fairfax, Va., on Sunday, August 4, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. (Note: this is updated from the originally advertised time.) Right beside me will be two of the best players around: Donato Soviero on guitar, and Scott Giambusso on bass.
It’s my first time performing at Epicure Cafe, which is, according to its own description, “a family-owned and collectively-led arts space, restaurant and lounge” that offers with a great menu of “Mediterranean dishes with a modern twist, as well as gourmet pizza offerings – with many options for our vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free friends.” (I stopped by recently and had “Steak Kabob with Falafel-Hearted Artichokes. Really good!) It’s a comfortable place to sit back and listen to music.
And we’ll be there to do our part. Cover charge will be a mere $15 per person.
